Available in two colors, black and white, the Jack LaLanne Power Juicer Express features the most basic components in a plastic encasing. A word of caution, this juicer isn’t metal in many parts and will break easily if you aren’t careful enough. It features a non-drip spout with a tamper, extra large feeding chute that swallows whole veggies and fruits as well as a quiet 3,600 RPM motor that operates stainless steel blades using a special Jack LaLanne engineered extraction method. The juicer is also designed to be compact so storing it will not be an issue.

We love the detailed manual it comes along with and you will need this since it takes a little time learning all the steps in assembling it perfectly. Moreover, if you don’t get it done right, the juicer will simply not run – which is kind of an added benefit since it stops you from posing unnecessary risks to man and machine.

About the Jack LaLanne Power Juicer Express

Jack LaLanne Power Juicer Express actually has a mixed review online. Some consumers feel this juicer is just not powerful enough while others adore it for the performance it delivers at such a cheap price. What we found was that many of the complaints were from folks who did not thoroughly read the manual and naturally expected the juicer to blow their mind. First of all, assembling it right will ensure a successful juicing session otherwise it just won’t start!

Moving on, juicing apples, carrots, and many other ingredients do not require any preparation time. It swallows all fruits and veggies whole leaving nothing behind. Just have patience and gradually push ingredients down rather than trying to rush things. All components are plastic but that is not a bad thing as long as you are careful with it and maintain the unit properly. Regular cleaning, regular use and following manual instructions ought to keep the Power Juicer Express in prime condition for years.

Jack LaLanne Express Review

Ease of Use
Because of the necessity to follow the manual at every step, we feel the Jack LaLanne Power Juicer Express is a tad bit difficult to use. First, you need to carefully set up the unit so that it will start. Then depending on what you are juicing, there are clear instructions to follow. One prime re-occurrence in the manual is the need to avoid pushing down hard on the ingredients. This juicer is designed to use gravity for its purpose and not a helping hand, so let it work at its pace if you want high yield and quality.

Clean Up
Not all components are dishwasher safe but thankfully, this juicer comes with a unique brush that works on the mesh filter, inside of the feed chute and all other areas. Take care when cleaning the juicer as all of it is plastic, so when reassembling it, do apply less force.

Juice Quality
This is exactly what you would expect from a masticating juicer. While not capable of handling leafy veggies as successfully as a masticating juicer, it nonetheless manages to impress with every other kind of ingredient.

Juice Yielded
The pulp is pretty dry depending on what you juice. For really pulpy fruits, expect a little residue but other than that it is great in terms of yield as nothing gets left behind in the dry pulp.

3,600 RPM ought to suffice for any ingredient as long as you don’t plan on mixing and matching stuff. Yes, a bit more power would have been nice but we did not feel the need for this at any point in time.

Because of its smaller motor and compact nature, the Jack LaLanne Power Juicer Express creates as little noise as your microwave oven. This is indeed one of the quietest machines in the kitchen that we have encountered and to think of it, it’s a juicer!
