Simple DIY Aloe Vera Juice Recipes
The basic recipe is the most simple for beginners. All you need is a large leaf of the plant, a knife, one spoon, a bowl, three cups of water and a blender. Make sure the leaf is healthy. Only use fresh leaves. Use the knife to get rid of the thorny layer that marks the border of the leaf. As you cut the outer layer, you will see the yellow layer inside, referred to as the latex. Cut through this latex of aloe vera leaf and you will get access to the gel inside. Use the spoon to scoop the gel out. Take the gel into the bowl and inspect it to ensure there is no remnant of the latex. You need to remove the latex.
You need two spoonfuls of the gel. Take the lender and put the gel inside. Add two to three cups of water and blend slowly. Use a low setting and blend for three minutes. If you’re making aloe vera juice for more than one person then you may have to blend for up to five minutes. Pour the juice into a transparent glass. You can add some ginger or lemon for taste and flavor. You can dilute aloe vera juice with more water or mix another juice. You can use less water if you want a more concentrated version.
Great with Oranges
Aloe vera juice with orange is a popular recipe. You need gel from one aloe leaf, a cup of water, a cup of orange juice and a tablespoon of white vinegar. You may not use the vinegar if you do not want it. You should use the basic recipe to make aloe vera juice. Then add the orange juice while the aloe vera juice is still in the blender. Blend thoroughly till the two get evenly mixed. You may also use aloe vera gel, orange juice, and water simultaneously and blend for up to five minutes. You may use other citrus juices if you like.
Super tasty with Honey
Another popular recipe is aloe vera juice with honey. You will need one cup of aloe vera gel and one cup of honey. You need more than one leaf for a cup of gel. Use as many leaves as you need to have one cup of gel for one cup of honey. The proportion should not be changed. Put the gel and the honey in a processor or blender. Blend at a low setting for up to three minutes. Mix it thoroughly and pour the juice into a transparent tumbler or jar. Use a glass container. You can store this juice. You may also refrigerate but not in the freezer.
